Paper Plumage Garments

The Paper Wedding Dress by Dana Jasinkevica and Dita Enikova is Elaborate

This magnificent paper wedding dress was created by Latvian fashion design students Dana Jasinkevica and Dita Enikova.

The piece, titled 'Swan in Oil.Before and After,' is composed entirely of paper leaves. Boasting over one thousand pieces, the delicate dress has been presented both on a mannequin and live model. Its leaves come together to resemble the plumage of a swan, giving it a serene and graceful aesthetic.

Meant as a bridal gown for an exhibition at the Center Gallery shopping center in Riga, the young designers added an edge by showcasing the beautiful demise of their piece with black oil. The tragedy of Swan in Oil.Before and After makes it a stunning performance piece that allows the paper wedding dress's beauty to shine.
