360-Degree Panoramic Paintings

This Panoramic Art Uses VR Goggles to Engulf Viewers in the World

Entitled 'Mobile Cyclorama,' these works of panoramic art take paintings into the realm of technology and the future by giving the viewer a 360-degree virtual reality experience.

Using either VR goggles or Google Street View, the viewer can become completely immersed within the magical world of the painting -- looking left to see more trees or up to see towering mountains. The brushstrokes of these artistic worlds become the whimsical ground, grass and sky around you.

The artist, Raul Moyado Sandoval, always had an interest in going beyond one frame of an image and see what else may be happening in the imagined setting. He combined his knowledge of traditional media with web development to come up with this unique panoramic art 360-degree experience. By creating immersive interactive art, this medium may entice a younger generation that is not as interested in traditional static art.
