Multipurpose Woven Straw Accessories

Brunno Jahara and Ana Voss Collaborated for 'Paleae Brasilis'

Designers Brunno Jahara and Ana Voss joined to create the 'Paleae Brasilis' collection, which consists of different functional objects that are all made from woven straw.

Items that the two designers were able to create with the universal material varied a lot, with everything from lamps and fruit bowls to detailed baseball caps offered. Often times, items were made to have multiple purposes to highlight the immense versatility of the natural material that's been used widely throughout history. One piece that especially does this in a three-bulb lamp that's constructed from multiple straw hats, which are connected by cords on top that are neatly held together by a golden clasp.

With the Paleae Brasilis collection, the designers show the versatility of the material and how it's able to transition into modern design in diverse ways. Photo Credits: designboom, brunnojahara
