To celebrate The Academy Awards, the International Culinary Center has created Oscar Dress Cookies. These hand crafted cookies celebrate famous fashions worn by A-list celebrities throughout the years. The most memorable re-creation was the Angelina Jolie high-slit black dress. The ICC is merging couture and cuisine in a very exclusive way.
"Our scale is so much smaller than that of a gown designer and matching the colors was very difficult," said Jansen Chan, director of Pastry Arts. "There was a lot of trial and error and we all worked together to figure out what techniques would best represent he actual dresses."
Chan spearheaded the re-creation of the Oscar Dress Cookies. Re-created are the likes of Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams and Lupita Nyong'o.
