These Organic Beauty Products Celebrate the Island of Zanzibar

Kangai Mwiti and Neva Mwiti-Read are launching a new collection of organic beauty products that celebrate the island of Zanzibar. While there are a number of organic skincare brands available to consumers, there are none that celebrate Africa's rich heritage. To pay homage to the continent and the wealth of knowledge that it has to offer, Mwiti and Mwiti-Read created their own line of African-inspired beauty products.

The organic skincare line is called 'Afya,' which means health and wholeness in Swahili. The brand is inspired by Africa's rich heritage, including its traditions of healing and herbal medicine. The latest collection from Afya specifically honors the island of Zanzibar. To pay homage to the stunning island, the collection features ingredients that are native to the Swahili coast.

The Zanzibar body and skincare collection is set to launch on September of 2016.
