Organ Donor Tattoos

Inked Final Wishes

If you really wanted to ensure something was known about you when you were no longer in a position to communicate, what would you do? You could write it down or record a video, but these are all things which can get lost. The only permanent foolproof solution is getting a tattoo with your final wishes--which is exactly what 80-year-old Mary Wohlford did. She had the words "Do Not Resuscitate" inked on her chest, and is not alone in her endeavor.

An emergency medicine specialist also gave himself an 80th birthday present with a difference--he’s also had "Do Not Resuscitate" tattooed across his chest.

Other people have had their wishes on organ donation tattooed onto their bodies, even incorporating them into a design. Not the cheeriest of topics, but if you want to ensure your message never gets lost, this is the way to do it.
