Orange 'Snowballs' Ad Inspired by Sony's 'Foam City

Mobile company Orange is trying to emulate Sony’s viral ‘Foam City’ success with this new ’Snowballs‘ ad.

The video advertisement uses thousands of balloons to simulate snow balls falling in Bratislava during a hot summer day. The ad’s tagline is, "The future is bright."

If I hadn’t seen Sony’s ad before, I would have gushed about this one, but it comes pretty short compared to Foam City and leaves me with an underwhelmed ‘just ok’ feeling.

The video spot was directed by Eric Will for Publicis ad agency, Bratislava, Slovakia.
