McLaren is Developing an Open Cockpit Car as Part of Its Ultimate Series

Mclaren is reportedly developing an open cockpit car with two seats. The open cockpit car is intended to provide an enhanced driving experience. The new car will be the sixth model form the company included in its Ultimate Series. McLaren has not yet named the car, however, it will be the first fully open designed car form the company. The car will be priced at $1.8 million and will be limited to 500 models. McLaren will release more information as the development process continues.

The outside of the car will feature butterfly doors and a carbon fiber, aerodynamic body. The carbon fiber gives the car its lightweight build, which is approximately 1,198 kg. The car will have a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine, and will also have a rear-wheel-drive system.
