OOO Workshop, a small Hong Kong design studio, has created a set of nostalgia-inducing earrings out of upcycled retro dinosaur toys.
Though many of today's toys are either fully digital or technologically laden, something about the colorful plastic dinosaur toys of the past is undeniably charming. Whether it was the toys' garish paint or their molded tactility, they invited joyful imagination and hours of play for kids of decades past. OOO Workshop's earrings are a reminder of that simple time.
The earrings are made from actual retro dinosaur toys, with over a dozen different species and colors as options. There are two styles of the pieces: one splits the entire toy in half, with the rear and front halves pressing up against either side of the wearer's ear. The other style consists of a screwed in hook on top of the small toys.
