Heartbeat-Projecting Art

One Heart One Tree Will Raise Awareness About Climate Change in Paris

One Heart One Tree is an interactive avant-garde art installation by Naziha Mestaoui. The 3D projected trees beat to the heart of Parisians intended to bring society together to face important environmental issues.

This project was originally entitled One Beat One Tree, but the redubbed One Heart One Tree will take this concept on tour for the 21st International Climate Change Conference taking place in Paris in December 2015. The pulsing arborous art will be projected onto significant landmarks in Paris, including the Eiffel Tour, L'arc de Triomphe and others. The projections will be generated by ordinary people carrying smartphones. The phones can measure the heartbeat of the holder, so people will be able to see their own heartbeats being projected.
