Obvious Wines proudly shares fair trade, vegan, estate-grown wines and it is introducing a $6,000 Life of Wine offer that will grant subscribers access to four bottles of wine on a monthly basis, for life. In the case that the average bottle of wine costs about $20, it would mean that an order of four wine bottles a month would pay for itself in about six years. As Obvious Wines jests on its site, "We're actively discouraging people [from buying] this. [I]t is a really bad deal for us."
