Racist Obama Magazine Covers

Vanity Fair Parodies New Yorker

Vanity Fair has parodied the now infamous August 2008 New Yorker magazine cover which depicted presidential hopeful, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama under many racist and bigoted misconceptions.

The New Yorker and its artist Barry Blitt claimed that the cover was meant to showcase the absurdity of such notions. Vanity Fair claims they are standing in solidarity with their office neighbors, The New Yorker.

The Vanity Fair artwork replaces Obama and his wife with Cindy and John McCain. Instead of a machine gun and bullets, Cindy is armored with countless bottles of pills, while the ailing John cannot stand up without support. The portrait of Osama Bin Laden is replaced with one of George W. Bush (I don't really know who's worse).

Yeah, satire at its best.
