Modernist Oasis-Inspired Furniture

The OAZA Collection by Klara Sumova & Dirk Wright is Paradise

It is hard to say what the OAZA Collection is inspired by more: the art deco era or the idea of an oasis. In a way, they are equally influential. The designs meld the two in order to create a modernist appeal that is stylish and lighthearted. Comprised of a palm tree-like coat rack and an abstract paradise divider, the OAZA Collection would add a refreshing touch to any home.

Designed by Klára Šumová in collaboration with graphic designer Dirk Wright, the OAZA Collection recently debuted at Designblok 2013 in Prague. According to Cool Hunting, the Palm Tree piece "pays homage to decorators like Jean-Michel Frank and interior sculptors such as Gabriella Crespi and Jacques Duval-Brasseur." Nevertheless, there is a uniqueness to the line.
