The 'NYC Intersection Series' by Navid Baraty has a Fresh View

In his recently shot series 'NYC Intersection,' photographer Navid Baraty looks at the Big Apple from a bird's eye view. There are countless pictures and photographs of New York City that portray iconic buildings and landmarks, but most of these approach their subjects from generally the same perspective.

By showing what the city looks like from above, Baraty gives viewers the ability to see it in a whole new light. Cabs crawl along the street like little yellow beetles in some shots, while in others, umbrella-adorned pedestrians skirt amongst each other on sidewalks. In virtually all of the photographs, skyscrapers pop out out from the ground forming walls of glass, steel and concrete around denizens of the city that never sleeps.
