DIY Synthesizers

The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-1 is a Fully Programmable and Customizable Synthesizer

Korg has released its Nu:Tekt NTS-1, which is a DIY synthesizer that is completely customizable. The Nu:Tekt NTS-1 is the first product that will be released from the company's Nu:Tekt line of DIY instruments that will focus on effects, as well as utilities. When customers purchase the instrument they will receive the parts from Korg, however, they will have to assemble the instrument themselves.

One of the noteworthy design features of the synthesizer is a digital oscillator, and the ability to use a logue-SDK. This allows the customer to be able to program the instrument as they see fit. The synthesizer also has a multimode filter, as well as three effect procedures, and a micro USB port. The instrument will be released in November for a $100 price point.
