At first glance you might not see it, but this Numero February 2014 fashion spread is clearly inspired by different geometric shapes.
Photographer Anthony Maule takes us back to sixth grade Math class to find the square root of fabulous. Different colored backdrops and lighting angles work together to illustrate the shapes that the styling creates. Model Josephine Le Tutour has her hair held in a tight bun at the back of her head and the rest of her hair slicked up off her face.
The clear geometry theme of this Numero February 2014 becomes more obvious if you just look at the silhouettes that the styling creates. Squint your eyes and you’ll see the bottom of dresses that look like triangles, hats with rectangular sides and diamond shaped earrings. There are even platform creepers with white on black grid as a design detail.
