The Numabookface is Part Art, Part Bookshop

Although there have been some interesting book-art installations in the past, I think it is safe to say that Numabookface is one of the better ones. Part art installation, part pop-up bookshop, it melds the practical with the artistic, serving two purposes at once.

Created by design collective Nam in collaboration with specialty publisher Numabooks, Numabookface debuted earlier this year as part of Nam's A Fantasy in Life solo exhibition at Public/Image 3D in Toyko. Whimsical and playful, Numabookface is made up of 3,500 used books that fall under fantasy genre.

In another unique twist, Numabookface shoppers can't browse the selection as in a typical shop. Instead, Shintaro Uchinuma of Numabooks and Numabookface choses titles for customers based on how they answer the question, 'Please tell me about yourself.'
