Mareill Amelie Returns to Her Roots for Her Latest Series

Mareill Amelie, the photographer with seemingly bucketfuls of talent, recently took a trip back to her Northern Norway roots.

While she was there, she had the opportunity to once again be fully inspired by the sights and sounds of her hometown and has updated her self portrait portfolio for 2011 with absolutely stunning images.

The pictures show the ever beautiful Mariell Amelie -- as always -- looking wonderfully introspective with a hint of darkness.  Once again, it’s her home country which takes centre stage in her self portraits, showing how in tune she is with her surroundings.  Her images ooze inspiration, depth and emotional vulnerability and have the ability to let the viewer connect intimately with the photographer.

Mariell Amelie continues to mature as an artist and her latest offerings are a further indication of why this extremely popular yet underground talent needs to be seen by the masses.

Whether she is behind the lens or also in front of the lens, Mariell always lets her proud Norwegian soul soak her images and create beautiful, dazzling photographs.
