Norman Foster Has Curated Motion: Autos, Art, Architecture

Everybody loves cars—in fact, vehicles have a cult following—and the British architect Norman Foster knows that. This is why he worked alongside the Guggenheim Bilbao, a museum designed by the infamous Frank Gehry, to design the displays for and curate a full-fledged auto exhibition. The event showcases a number of Norman Foster's own cars.

Titled 'Motion: Autos, Art, Architecture,' the exhibition spans the entire floor of the Guggenheim Bilbao. The vehicles on show date back to the 20th and 21st centuries. With this eclectic exhibition, the British architect—who is most renowned for founding the architectural studio Foster + Partners—strikes the perfect balance between mechanics, art, and architecture. Cars on display include the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic (1936), an original Mini Cooper, the Mercedez AMG Formula OneW11 EQ Performance racing car (2020), and more.
