Metal-Infused Mythical Masks

'Nor Autonom' by Nicolas Olivier Richard Makes Wires into Face Wear

'Nor Autonom' by Nicolas Olivier Richard is a collection of fascinating handmade face masks assembled completely from metal wires. These images are captured by photographer Mathias Sterner. Sterner's attempt was to have the wire masks look like they were a part of the model. "I wanted the model and the mask to became one object," says Sterner.

The creator behind these avant-garde masks molded these sculptures for the new men's clothing line, Nor Autonom. The images are dark and fierce, evoking a strong aesthetic like the clothing from the collection; the inspiration came from ancient mythology and contemporary designs.

Sterner and Richard work together to create a drastic effect and introduces face masks that project a contemporary appeal.
