Spintop-Like Timepieces

The Non La Clocks by Studio Klass Are Shaped Like Squat Cones

The Non la Clocks have a playful aesthetic for a couple of reasons. First of all, they are vibrantly color, which instantly adds some youthful fun to any living space. Secondly, they resemble vintage spintops because of their unique cone shape. Nevertheless, as its name suggests, they were in fact inspired by the iconic straw hats used by the Vietnamese.

Designed by Milan-based Studio Klass, the Non la Clocks were created for Italian manufacturer Diamantini & Domeniconi. According to the designers, "The form comes also from a functional aspect: when the watch is placed on the table, the base of the cone--on which the quadrant is on--is tilted, thus facilitating the reading time." Thus the Non la Clocks' aesthetic is both practical and pleasing to look at.
