Noctua Showcased Prototype Air Coolers for Ryzen 7000-Series Cards

AMD’s upcoming Ryzen Threadripper processors will have new CPU air coolers from Noctua. The coolers are upgraded versions of the NH-U14S TR4-SP3 and NH-D9 DX-4677 4U models, with a bigger base plate of 70 x 56mm that fits the whole Threadripper CPUs. The coolers also have eight heat pipes and two or three 140mm fans for better cooling performance.

The new Noctua coolers will launch in October 2023, along with AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series (codename Storm Peak). These processors will use the new Socket SP6 (LGA4844) and will have up to 64 cores and 128 threads based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture. Noctua has not revealed the price or exact availability for the new coolers yet, but they are likely to be high-end products that target the HEDT consumer market segment.
