The Nintendo Wii U is the Tech-Savvy Wii Successor

The Nintendo Wii U has just been announced as the follow-up to the company’s wildly successful Wii console. The Nintendo Wii U, announced at E3 2011, will feature high-def graphics (up to 1080p), internal flash memory and a massive controller that comes complete with a 6.2-inch screen. The Nintendo Wii U will also be backwards compatible with all Wii games and feature four USB 2.0 ports.

The Nintendo Wii U’s screen is touch-enabled and also features a camera. The controller is used to change the way you play, creating a second display that interacts with the first (your TV) in ways I have never seen before. Content onscreen can be transferred over to your TV with just a flick of your finger, including non-gaming related content such as videos and pictures. As a lifelong gamer I am honestly floored by what I see. I’m going to let you form your own opinion, which you should do after you check out the images and video of the Nintendo Wii U here.
