Kang S. Lee Creates Ceramic Nike Dunk Sneakers

Mexico City-based Korean artist Kang S. Lee has decided to pay homage to the Nike Dunk sneakers in an interesting fashion.

He has taken his own pair of Nike Dunks as a mold and hand-sculpted them out of ceramic. The sneakers he has sculpted so far are a different variation of the original with Lee's own added twist. Each sneaker has its own color scheme and additional accessories such as spikes or belts wrapped around the front. So far, there are 10 completed pieces and he plans to expand from 50 to 100 more with different shoe brands such as Converse, Vans Original and the Adidas Superstars.
