First off, the Nike Air Stab had to be recalled because it has been attributed to stabbings, or at least thought to coincide with a rise in teen stabbings in the UK. They were launched as a limited edition two years ago featuring an old school design from a 1988 Nike shoe.
Oddly enough, it could have been worse! The slogan for the retro-designed shoes is “Runnin' 'n' Gunnin!â€
Will Nike have to recall the all-weather Pocketknife shoe soon too?
The more positive news? Nike is collaborating with the US military; they have designed an ultra light weight boot using the Nike Free sole, created for the Special Forces.
