Double-Sided Touchscreens

The EL Panel

Touchscreens have become one of the most influential consumer tech innovations of the last few years, so it's about time we were introduced to double-sided touchscreen interfaces.

Double-sided touchscreens will complement modern software needs like mapping and gaming. They will employ similar functions to the iPhone, but will be touch-sensitive on both sides.

The double sided EL panel seen in the gallery is a two-person gaming system, and, as seen in the gallery, can be used to play things like tic-tac-toe.

The EL Panel was launched at the Sign and Display show in Tokyo last week, marking another milestone for Japan’s Teraokaaseiko.

The newly marketed EL Panel offers dual touch screen interfaces which can be used simultaneously, on transparent screens, allowing you to see your opponent on the other side.
