Stop Sign-Inspired Sneakers

The New Nike Cortez Silhouette Features Unique Branding and Accents

The new Nike Cortez has a minimalist aesthetic, yet just the right amount of color to make it standout. Constructed from nylon and rugged suede material, the different parts of the upper are made to contrast with one another.

This is also due to the slight variation in color, with the nylon left a stark white while the suede components are a complementary hue of light gray. Although the majority of the new Nike Cortez's sole is left white, there's a stripe of bright green that extends from the heel to just past the middle of it.

The Swoosh logo is included in its traditional form, but Nike's name is written in a cursive font on the heel within the confines of a bright red stop sign. This use of color is continued to the lace tips as well.
