If you have ever fancied yourself a city planner, this new bus routes tool will be right up your alley. From Code for America, Transitmix allows you to create your own new bus routes in the city of your choice.

The planning tool is ideal for letting you vent your frustrations with your city's current transit system. By simply clicking and dragging you can make entirely new routes, set schedules and see how much it would cost (not including labor). Inspired by Streetmix, the designers behind Transitmix worked with an aim to "democratize transit planning." Perfect for professional urban planners too, the tool lets anyone sketch out lines and see how service, scheduling and costs have to be managed.
