Neverland Lost was never intended to be a book; instead, this project began when photographer Henry Leutwyler was on a magazine assignment to document Michael Jackson’s iconic white glove. Although Leutwyler is primarily a portrait photographer, he says "I have always had the urge to investigate people through the simplicity of the artifacts that make up their lives."
Upon his arrival at Neverland Ranch, which had been vacant for some time, Leutwyler discovered Michael’s belongings boxed up awaiting public auction. He began photographing the king of pop’s personal belongings, and Neverland Lost was born.
The book includes hundreds of Michael’s personal belongings. It gives a unique perspective into the life and lost childhood of the late pop icon. For any true MJ fan, this book is an absolute must have.
