Cosmic Creature Art

NASA’s Images Look Like Space Creatures

Chris Keegan, a digital illustrator, takes stargazing to a new frontier by photo-shopping images from NASA. The original cosmic captures were taken by the Chandra X-ray Observatory. From these images, Chris has made a phoenix, seal, a wiseman, a butterfly, one that looks like an alien head, and several others. The colours are vibrant and beautiful, featuring hues of greens and blues, and reds and purples.

Many people are fascinated with space and the great unknown, and these images reflect the art of imagination and the creative products that come out of photo-shopping endeavors. Chris has done a lot of work with colour, shapes and layers, but this is probably one of his best.
