Celebrity Pun Illustrations

This Artist's Series of Celebrity Cartoon Images Uses Name Puns

Sydney-based graphic designer and illustrator Justine Morrison created an artistic series of celebrity name pun illustrations. The images are drawn as hybrid cartoon characters that combine certain characteristics of the celebrity with other nouns that sound like their names.

For example, ‘Wu-Tang Clan’ has been re-imagined as ‘Wonton Clan.’ The image features a musical group of edible wantons holding microphones and wearing flashy jewelry. There are also name puns of individual artists, models and movie stars. The collection even includes a few celebrity-made products such as ‘Beats by Dre,' which shows a beet wearing a pair of headphones.

Each image is illustrated in a playful and quirky style with vivid colors. All of the images use celebrities as inspiration to create iconic imagery for Justine Morrison's artwork collection, which is simply titled ‘Puns.’
