The 'Black Cat' eatery prompted its patrons to strip down for a one-day naked restaurant experience as as part of the 'Venus' festival in Berlin.
The staff of the Black Cat were dressed in revealing lingerie, with a few waitresses choosing to go topless for the event. Though fully nude clientele were welcome in the restaurant, those choosing to remain partly clothed were awarded a free drink for taking off their shirts.
The naked restaurant event was created as a means to bring a sense of freedom to the establishment, allowing patrons to express themselves however they like as they munch on their meals. Restaurant chef Karl Kinsky explained his support for Black Cat's participation in the Venus festival by saying "Nudity brings looseness. For me, this is what makes art. And I support any form of art."
