Lavish Lace Dresses

The Nada Spring 2010 Show at Toronto Fashion Week

My favorite show of Toronto Fashion Week is hands down the Nada Spring 2010 show. The styling was impeccable from designer Nada Shepherd, blending a sexy, vampy vibe with a dark Victorian femininity.

With ultra-teased beehives on top of every model’s head, lace was the material du jour and featured in almost every outfit: backwards-worn stockings, see-through tanks, and sexy, body-con dresses. Tailored coats and pencil skirts also made an appearance while pounds—literally, pounds—of pearls hung heavily around necks. This may have been the reason why some of the models were teetering awkwardly backwards as they walked (one actually did slip), but it all looked beautiful and fantastically glamorous nonetheless.
