myPORT is an app that makes it easier than ever to navigate the buildings in which urbanites spend most of their day. This app provides access to buildings, lets you listen to intercom feeds and -- incredibly -- summons elevators for you to save time.
myPORT is essentially an extension of the Schindler Group's PORT technology, which provides a pre-programmed access card that gives users access to office buildings and apartment blocks in addition to calling an elevator for them.
myPORT differs from PORT in that it eschews the swipecard in favor of a smartphone app. This provides a high degree of security as well as increased convenience. When users enter a building which has the system installed, a code is triggered that then gives users access to myPORT's suite of features.
