The Music Memory Box by Chloe Meineck Helps Elders Remember

Helping loved ones, especially elders, as their mental faculties decline due to the onset of dementia can be devastatingly hard, but the Music Memory Box may provide some small comfort. It is a melodic keepsake that holds some of the owner's most cherished items. When opened, it plays a soothing and familiar song so that as the person looks and reflects upon every item inside the Music Memory Box, they are reminded about important moments in their life.

Created by University of Brighton graduate Chloe Meineck, the Music Memory Box was born after two years tirelessly conducting research into the positive effect familiar music can have for those with dementia. The Music Memory Box made for a woman named Barbara was recently presented at Tent London as part of the London Design Festival.
