Modern Elevated Transport Hubs

SOM Plans to Construct the Multimodal Hub in Miami

Architecture firm SOM has plans to build a multimodal hub for transport in Miami, and the design looks extremely futuristic and modern.

The transport hub will enable the areas of Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to add in more passenger stations, which ultimately means more money for the transit businesses in those areas. The hub is elevated off the ground, with retail space set aside underneath so as not to waste any valuable real estate. From the plans drawn up by SOM so far, it looks like the sides of the structure have a geometric triangle pattern, to give the building a bit of an edge and make it stand out from other transport hubs in the area.
