There is something strangely stylish about the Mr Mellow lamp, even though it is actually made out of a sponge and not just made to look like one. This stylishness definitely has to do with the fact that it has an industrial aesthetic to it, especially with the tasteful, vintage cord sticking out of it.
Created by Sarah Bottger for Brigitte Extra, the Mr Mellow light fixture interestingly shed a glow that is very similar to that of a lit candle. The yellow sponge material provides a warmth that would otherwise be lacking from a bared LED bulb. Although quite simple, the Mr Mellow lamp is a statement decor piece. It has a lot of character.
