This Chinese Mount Rushmore Pays Homage to the Original

Along with the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore is usually one of the first monuments to come to mind when people think of American monuments. It turns out that Mount Rushmore isn't exclusive to America though, as China has its very own chiseled-face monument.

The Chinese Mount Rushmore is not quite as big as the original, as the one in America is carved into a mountain and is 60 feet tall but it is detailed. The Chinese monument is located in a park in Chongqing, the old capital of China.

The monument is carved in honor of the American aid China received against the Japanese in the late 30s and early 40s. This also isn't the only monument in the park, as it features a miniature Leaning Tower of Pisa and Eiffel Tower among others.
