Roller Magazine and Vans Release ‘ANTI-NORMAL’ Sneakers

Motorcycle editorial magazine Roller Magazine and skateboard fashion brand Vans collaborated on its latest sneakers named after Japanese singer and actor Tomoya Nagase‘s column ‘ANTI-NORMAL.’ Tomoya Nagase was a former primary vocalist of Tokio, a Johnny & Associates musical group, and has won the best actor award for the television show Tiger and Dragon.

Tomoya Nagase himself designed the sneakers. There are two colorways available in light blue and black colors. The design features a thick, cushioned velcro strap with circular stitching. When riding motorcycles, the unique construction of the sneaker reduces the burden on the foot. The fabric tags match the colors of the low-tops, and the "TOM" graphics are embroidered on the lateral heel. Both brands’ logos are also printed on the insoles, with contrasting piping around the sole rubber units. The sneakers are available on March 11 and are priced at $14,300 in JPY.
