The Morfium Metropolis Collection is Fit to be Worn by Queen Amidala

One glance at the Morfium Metropolis and I couldn’t help but envision Queen Amidala from Star Wars in every one of these outfits. It doesn’t hurt that the featured model has a striking resemblance to Natalie Portman. The Morfium Metropolis collection was, however, inspired by another movie -- Metropolis -- hence the title of the fashion line.

Photographed by Dusan Jaukovic, the Morfium Metropolis collection is chock-full of costumelike couture that boasts golden embellishments, ruffle collars and crownlike headpieces. Theatrical and darkly dramatic, the designs seem more like art pieces than actual wearable outfits.

As I look more closely at each outfit in the Morfium Metropolis collection, I can't help but believe they will be featured in a sci-fi film in the future.
