50s-Inspired Furniture

The Molly Desk by Toby Howes

The Molly Desk is simply stunning. If this is what the furniture looked like in the 1950s, I think more designers need to be inspired by that era. I think I'm particularly drawn to the Molly Desk because I haven't really come across anything like it before.

Designed by Toby Howes, the Molly Desk features a fluid design that is anchored firmly into the ground with practical cabinet additions. According to the British designer, the Molly Desk "contrasts light and dark, straight lines and curves, intricate construction with simple style and luxurious materials with sparse design."
