This collection of various popular celebrities and American politicians is being presented to the public at the Dubai Meem Gallery between May 15th and July 5th 2012. These photographs include figures of Angela Jolie, John Travolta, Audrey Hepburn, Clint Eastwood, Lindsay Lohan, and Barrack Obama all wearing traditional attire.
Mohammed Kanoo’s goal for creating this collection was to provide awareness of the need for social acceptance and tolerance and to get people thinking about international diplomacy. These photos have a sense of humour, but the message that they stand for is important for viewers to think about. Born in 1963, Kanoo began his painting career informally in 1989, and has lately been using contemporary techniques for his art designs.
