A proposal featuring modular emergency vehicles was awarded third space in Dezeen's Future Mobility Competition powered by Arrival. Named the National Health Network Modular Hospital System, this stab at innovating the contemporary healthcare system with efficiency and urgency in mind is by designer Mike George.
Each autonomous unit is internally equipped with the tools to handle specific medical emergencies. This design, as Mike George notes, is fully customizable—depending on the needs of the health institution. When brought together, the modular emergency vehicles create an on-the-go hospital. This allows for healthcare practitioners and first responders to address health epidemics, provide disaster relief, and deliver on-site medical assistance much more effectively.
