Modern Terraced Houses

This Home by Fragmenture Architects Boasts a Smooth Wooden Roof

A compact and modern terraced house in Ghent, Belgium, underwent a restoration process that sought out to mend the imperfections in the building's layout. Due to the fact that the structural design "suffered from a lack of light and openness," architectural firm Fragmenture removed the wall partitions, adjusting the spatial arrangement to create a playful and contemporary interior.

Spanning over 190 square meters, Fragmenture architects created an original triangular volume that houses an open-concept kitchen, a laundry space and satisfies various storage needs. The new layout of the modern terraced house is truly meticulously designed and executed. Fragmenture architects didn't only satisfy the inherent need for more light, but it also created a contemporary abode that embraced the principles of compact living.
