Modern Suburban Homes

This Standard Home Was Upgraded With More Modern Features

At first glance, this modern suburban home does not look too different than the standard suburban homes that can be seen in England and North America.

After a family decided they needed more space in their home, they employed Mulroy Architects to design and create an extension for it. The result is an added area to the home that functions as a dining room with walls that are almost entirely made of glass -- offering views of the deck and backyard from the interior of the home while making this home appear up-to-date and modern from the exterior.

By brightening up this space with a glass-encased home extension, the designers managed to create a modern suburban home that would otherwise look just like the rest.
