Faux Mannequin Photography

Tim Engle's Strange ‘Models From Mars' Series

I did a double-take the first time I saw Tim Engle’s ‘Models From Mars.' I couldn’t tell if the "woman" in this shoot was actually an Old Navy ‘Modelquin’ or a flesh and blood woman.

Eventually my powers of detection won out, and I realized that the model was a model, and not a model of a model. ‘Models From Mars’ looks like something you would see in a '50s department store.
