Voice-Powered Mobiles

Next Generation Mobile Phones to be Powered by Talking

The Georgia Institute of Technology has collectively united scientists to brainstorm a charging method for the future of mobile phones. The result was a process that charges phones with the vibration of sound from talking.

The complex study combines piezoelectric material from zinc oxide that composes miniscule amounts of electrical energy from sound waves that can ultimately (and hopefully) charge mobile phones.

What makes this very interesting is the facilitated use of mobiles and the eco-friendly message it condones - less batteries, less waste, less pollution and more happy faces!
