Cheryl Rich Heisler was working as an attorney in 2011, when, on a bit of a whim, she enrolled in Chicago’s American Professional Bartending School. Though she wasn't looking for employment as a bartender, Heisler's educational experiment did turn out to be lucrative: she began Mixed MetaPours shortly after.
Heisler's main objective when creating a cocktail is ensuring that an event is especially memorable. Moreover, she notes that it could offer businesses a unique opportunity to experiment with their branding. More than anything, Heisler enjoys the fact that "you can put your personality into a glass."
