The ACO and H24Project Unveiled 'MissionH24,' an Eco-Friendly Supercar

The MissionH24 concept car is a hydrogen-electric prototype that aims to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans by 2026. It is a joint project between the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the organizer of the legendary endurance race, and H24Project, a consortium of industry partners that promote hydrogen technology. The concept car uses a hydrogen fuel cell to generate electricity, which powers a single electric motor that delivers 871 hp to the rear wheels. The fuel cell is fed by two hydrogen tanks located at the back of the car, and the electricity is also stored in a small lithium-ion battery that provides extra boost during high-load situations. The concept car weighs 1,300 kg (approximately 2,866 pounds) and can reach a top speed of 199 mph. The car is expected to start track testing in early 2025.
