The popular book and movie franchise Harry Potter gained most of its following because of its otherworldly qualities, and one of my personal favorites is the Mirror of Erised. The mirror is a magical mirror that is supposed to "show not [the] face, but [the] heart’s desire." Unfortunately, this recreation doesn’t boast the same magical qualities; for instance, at this very moment my mirror might have Jimmy Kimmel in a suit with a box of chocolates and flowers. If only it were that simple.
The mirror itself is a replica designed for the Harry Potter movies, and it does a good job of creating that old-timey wizardry quality. Hanging this in any room would be a no-brainer. In honor of the final Harry Potter movie, I present to you the lovely Mirror of Erised.
